PLAZ AMERICAS MALL - HOUSTON

Plaz Americas was the first air-conditioned mall in Houston in 1961 when it opened as Sharpstown Mall. Since that time it has undergone several transitions and is now focused on the local Hispanic population. It has approximately 81 stores, and 10 food establishments. The primary anchor store is Burlington Coat Factory. The directory of Plaz Americas stores - including descriptions of each store, phone numbers, and online shopping - is listed below. While still active, a lot of mall traffic has shifted further south on on US 59 to First Colony Mall, but whether you visit either of these two malls in person, any of the “SHOP” buttons below will allow you to shop directly online. Parking is visible on the side closest to US 59, but there is plenty of parking to the west and south of the mall.
